The Sales Analyst works closely with the Sales Team to assist with the preparation of quotes and ensure accuracy of sales order entry. This role includes maintaining database information and providing administrative support for all departments. The Sales Analyst provides support for trade shows and promotional items.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Prepare and distribute reports to management and others
  • Respond to customer/vendor requests
  • Enter data into ERP and associated modules with general proficiency
  • Serve as a backup to related positions
  • Enter and maintain database information
  • Analyze and confirm accuracy of database information periodically
  • Complete special projects as required
  • Develop/revise processes and procedures

ORDER ENTRY DUTIES

  • Verify contents of all purchase orders and confirm accuracy
  • Compile all forms/information required to book and enter an order
  • Enter data for customer database for new customers
  • Obtain appropriate approvals for release of orders
  • Enter data into ERP system for generation of work order number and order acknowledgment documentation
  • Send approved order acknowledgment to customer
  • Maintain monthly reports, delivery information, and receive inside sales calls
  • Responsible for accuracy of entered orders on company booking report
  • Follow up on orders and customer issues
  • Understand Product Book information in order to generate accurate configuration and part numbers on orders

SALES OPERATIONS DUTIES

  • Assist with the generation, production and distribution of the Product Book per assigned schedule
  • Maintain marketing database, including RSM territories, maps and contact information
  • Generate final monthly corporate reports for management approval

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 3+ years of related work experience and order entry experience and/or training
  • OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
