We are presently seeking a 310J  Trailer Mechanic for our Etobicoke-based trucking company.

There are only a handful of Canadian transportation companies that have a history dating back a century and we are very proud to be one of them. Founded in 1911, our company has evolved with the times and stayed relevant by serving our clients.

Our central 70,000 sq. ft. distribution facility (near the Toronto Pearson Airport) acts as our main consolidation and deconsolidation centre for our service area.

The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Performing trailer and light mechanical repairs
  • Inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing
  • Electrical systems
  • Landing gear assemblies and trailer frames and bodies
  • Hitching/coupling systems; suspension systems
  • Tires, wheels, hubs and axles; air and auxiliary systems; braking systems
  • Conduct annual safety inspections
  • Perform general vehicle repairs on electrical and/or mechanical systems

 

Requirements:

  • 310J or 310T license
  • Experience in fabrication and welding is an asset
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Collaborative team player
  • Able to lift, bend, and reach throughout a shift
  • Valid driver’s license
